Cover Reveal: Stiletto Secrets by Bella J

Nicholas Blake is your typical class A, rich bastard who loves getting what he wants. He’s spoiled, selfish and enjoys all the lavish pleasures life has to offer—especially those that involve women and getting naked. Nicholas’ life is just damn near perfect. But one night out on the town with his friends and everything changes. One encounter with a stripper in stilettos who fittingly calls herself Cinderella, and his life suddenly doesn’t seem so goddamn perfect anymore.

As if that isn’t enough, there’s also Emma, the new maid in his father’s mansion that immediately piques his curiosity with her sweet smile and blue-green eyes. He finds himself drawn to her and wants nothing more than to seduce her into his bed, to make her his. But he just can’t seem to stay away from the stripper that makes him burn in ways he never knew possible.

The more he starts to care for Emma, the stronger his obsession grows for Cinderella.

Insane? Absolutely.

Twisted? Yes.

Completely screwed up? Hell yes.

A decision needs to be made; he needs to choose. But will Nicholas be able to make that choice when he finds himself all tangled up in a giant cluster of love, lust and stilettos?

“Pick one.”

Nicholas jerked his head to the left in the direction from where the woman’s voice came, and noticed the dark-pink curtains.

“Pick one what?” He scanned the room.

“The shoes. Pick a pair,” a soft, sultry voice replied.

Then Nicholas noticed movement behind the curtain. Whoever it was dragged her hand along the fabric while leisurely pacing, apparently waiting for him to choose.

Instantly intrigued, he glanced at the cabinet and then back at the curtain. “You want me to choose a pair of shoes?”

“Yes, pick a pair and I will wear them.”

Nicholas felt a little tingle in the back of his neck when she spoke. He had only been in this room for five minutes and whoever was behind the curtain already had all his attention.

He moved a little closer to the curtain. “You know, a lot goes into choosing the right pair of shoes. For example, I’d need to know what you’re wearing first.” He tried to get a better look at the woman behind the curtain, but the fabric was just too damn dense for him to make out anything other than a silhouette.

“Why don’t you just pick a pair under the assumption that I’m not wearing anything,” she replied with soft, smoothly spoken words. Somehow it reminded him of melted chocolate.

“Why don’t you let me see for myself what you’re wearing?”

“That’s not how it works, Mr. Blake.”

The curtain swooshed a little as she moved behind it.

Nicholas turned to the glass cabinet with the shoes. How in God’s name was he supposed to choose? It was like telling a kid to choose one item in Willy Wonka’s candy factory. Im-fucking-possible.

After inspecting each pair, he finally opened the door and reached for a white pair of stilettos with a little diamond bow on top. A simple design, but it was the pair with the sharpest heel, and Nicholas loved those damn heels.

“So what do I do with these?” Nicholas inspected the shoes more closely.

And then a hand reached out from the other side of the curtain. Nicholas noticed the freshly manicured nails and beautiful dainty fingers. “Now you give them to me, and take a seat, Mr. Blake.”

Nicholas looked to the chair before handing her the shoes.

“On the table next to the chair you will see a pair of handcuffs and a blindfold. You need to sit down, lock one of the cuffs around your hand, put on the blindfold and then place both hands behind the back of the seat.”

Nicholas frowned. “Okay, I’m not sure I’m entirely comfortable with this. I thought this was a show. How am I supposed to enjoy the show if I can’t see anything?”

“Mr. Blake, I have three different types of shows I present. See, feel, and touch.”

“See, feel, and touch?” he mimed silently with his mouth.

“You can’t experience all at once.”

“Well, I’d sort of feel cheated then.”

“When you lose one of your senses, the other senses get heightened, Mr. Blake.”

Nicholas could not get over the beautiful sound of this woman’s voice. It was like her voice had a direct line straight down to his cock.

He started to leisurely pace around the room. “So I’m just curious, which show did my friends book me for?”

“Feel,” she replied.

Being the smart-ass that he was, Nicholas asked, “Isn’t that kind of the same thing as touch?”

“No, it’s not. With touch you would be allowed to use your hands, guided by me of course. With feel, you will only feel what I want you to feel.”

Okay, now he was really damn curious.

As he turned to the table and eyed the contents, he contemplated what his options were. Either he turned around now and then got labeled as a pussy by his friends, or he could put on the mask and the cuffs and see where this all went. But honestly, there was no way in hell he would be able to walk away now.

“What will it be, Mr. Blake?”

Nicholas shrugged and picked up the cuffs. “I guess we should get this show started then.”

The Gazillionaire & the Virgin #Giveaway #BDSM

Today I have the lovely Lisabet Sarai stopping by with info on her new release, The Gazillionaire & the Virgin. To celebrate her book tour, Lisabet has a couple of giveaways, so read on for a sample of her refreshing role-reversal BDSM romance, and to learn how to be in the running for a $50 gift card or a paperback copy of The Gazillionaire & the Virgin!

—————–

Letting My Characters Lead

By Lisabet Sarai

On the plotter versus pantser dimension, I usually lean more toward plotting. I don’t do really detailed outlines or character sketches before I begin a book, but normally I have a pretty clear idea of the story arc. Often I will create a scene list. In particular, I know how I want the book to end. The process of writing is something like directing a film, as I walk the characters through the scenes, moving them in the direction of the climax and resolution.

The Gazillionaire and the Virgin was different. This was the first novel I’ve written using the Character-driven Random Walk Method. When I began writing, all I had was a title and the two main characters (reflected in the title), Rachel and Theo. I really had no idea what they’d do, other than having sex and falling in love.

I did know this was going to be an erotic romance. In fact, although the book deliberately shreds romance stereotypes, it preserves the essential core of romance, namely, the characters’ journey toward a loving relationship. So I understood there had to be obstacles or conflicts that would stand in the way of the happy ending. At the start, though, I couldn’t have told you the nature of those obstacles. I didn’t plan. I didn’t outline. That’s not like me at all! I simply sat down at my computer, invoked Rachel and Theo, and let them interact. At each point in the plot, the focus character in some sense decided what would happen next.

I’d expected the book would be 20K at most. As I let Rachel and Theo lead me deeper into their story, I discovered I was wrong. They did not want to be rushed. It took four chapters for them to get to their first erotic encounter. The revelation that they shared kinky interests took another four. By the time I reached the book’s climax, the events that tear them apart, I had more or less figured out how they’d reconcile, but I couldn’t make them follow my script. Theo turned out to be far more stubborn than I would have guessed. Fortunately, Rachel’s imagination came to the rescue. Still, every time I sat down to write what I thought would be the final chapter, I’d come to realize there was yet another one needed.

When I finally wrote “The End”, I was seriously relieved. I wasn’t sure Rachel and Theo would ever let me finish their story!

I know a lot of authors always write this way. Some of my writer friends talk about hearing voices in their heads. For me, though, this was a new experience—alternately fulfilling and frustrating. I have to admit that I am really pleased with the result. I hope readers will be, too.

Trust can’t be bought—it has to be earned.

Blurb:

When Silicon Valley entrepreneur Rachel Zelinsky meets reclusive genius Theo Moore, she finds him strangely compelling. Theo is both arrogant and socially awkward, but he has an aura of power that speaks to Rachel’s carefully-hidden submissive side. Disturbed and aroused, she tries to focus on her original objective—a deal to incorporate his Artificial Intelligence software into her company’s popular virtual world. Rachel’s not a woman who lets pleasure interfere with business, but for some reason, she can’t resist Theo’s geeky appeal.

Theo Moore can’t be bought. His past battles with poverty make him deeply suspicious of the billionaire CEO. Still, with her voluptuous curves and brilliant mind, Rachel embodies his ultimate sexual fantasy. Too bad his knowledge about sex derives from

extensive research and a stash of kinky porn rather than real-world experience.

That doesn’t bother Rachel, however. In his bed—in his arms—in his bonds—she discovers the bliss of total surrender. Rachel may be Theo’s first lover, but Theo is Rachel’s first true Master—and the first man to truly touch her heart. It seems that love may harmonize their differing goals and values, until Rachel’s unwitting violation of Theo’s trust threatens to tear them apart forever.

Excerpt:

It won’t go away. All through the day—every day—need gnaws at my spirit. Whether I’m reading my email, meeting with my board of directors, preparing a presentation, closing a deal to acquire a promising start-up, discussing deployment of the next release with my engineering managers, I can’t shake the sense that something critical is missing. In yoga class, the aching knot just above my solar plexus doesn’t unwind, no matter how deeply I breathe. Driving to work, I have to force myself to pay attention. Otherwise, I drift off into recollections of my time with Theo—what he did, what he said, how I responded.

I miss him, miss him dreadfully, though it’s been only four days since we were last together. We’ve Skyped every night since the weekend, but somehow that only makes the hunger worse. When I see him there on my screen, grainy and over-exposed, all I want is to touch him—to brush the unruly hair off his forehead, to stroke his cheek, to trace the line of his plump, sensitive lips with my thumb. To offer up my own mouth for him to claim it, tear off my blouse and press my tits against his solid chest, sink to my knees and beg him to take me.

I’d be more than willing to strip and perform for him, to act out whatever lewd actions he ordered, but he refuses to become involved in any sort of phone or cyber-sex. “Everyone’s listening in,” he asserts. “The government. The neighbors. What you and I do should be private.” So we chat about safe topics—our work, what we’ve been reading, where we should go for dinner next weekend. All the while, lust burns in those bright eyes of his. I know what he’s thinking. I’m thinking the same thing.

I’m not expecting him to call Thursday afternoon. The trill of my phone interrupts me as I’m giving Diane instructions for tomorrow. Still, the sound of his voice kindles a warm joy in the pit of my stomach as well as a wetness between my legs.

“Hello. Rachel?”

“Hi, Theo. What’s up?”

“I want you to come early tomorrow. Around noon.”

“I—um—I really can’t. I’ve got an all-day meeting up in San Francisco, some investors from India.”

“Cancel it.”

“What? I can’t do that. These guys have come half-way around the world to talk to me about a franchise deal. Think of the potential profit! More than a billion people, a soaring GDP, and Internet growth that’s doubling every year…”

It’s the wrong thing to say. I realize this the moment the statement’s out of my mouth.

“So you care more about money than about me.” Not a whining complaint, but a dry statement of the facts, at least as Theo sees them.

“No, of course not, but I can’t put my personal life above my business…”

“You should.” I can picture his face, the stubborn set of his jaw as he retreats, distancing himself from me. “But never mind. Of course you’re too busy. I should have expected that.”

“Wait! Wait, don’t hang up, Theo.” I struggle to keep him engaged. “What’s so important about tomorrow noon?”

“I want you to meet my sister. Ellen. She’s free for lunch tomorrow.”

“Can’t we do it Saturday?”

“She’s flying to Jamaica for a two week vacation with her partner Saturday morning.”

“What about when she gets back?”

“She doesn’t want to leave without talking to you. She says she’s worried about me, worried about our relationship. She’s afraid you’ll hurt me, break my heart.”

I’d never hurt you, I almost say, then understand I’m doing so at that very moment. And it feels horrible, like a knife twisting in my gut.

Sci Spanks 2014 #scifi #BDSM #stories

I’m stoked to have Leigh Ellwood here today talking about a new sci-fi story collection she’s in (along with a slew of other fabulous authors). Sci Spanks has 15 sexy tales for the awesomely low price of 99 cents. It’s a steal!

————

Hello, everybody. Leigh Ellwood here, and I’m thrilled to announce I’m part of a new anthology called Sci Spanks. This is a collection of 15 shorts on a theme – naturally science fiction with spanking. My contribution, “Skin,” came to me as I racked my brains to think of a story. A martini or two later, and it happened.

You may or may not be familiar with my work, but BDSM and kink are not sub-genres I write often. I don’t read much BDSM, just a few authors, and I know writing kink requires research so the stories are accurate and do not misrepresent the Lifestyle. Since this book deals mainly with spanking, though, I felt it was okay for me to participate. The science fiction setting allowed me a bit of creative license as well. I placed my heroine in a precarious situation where a law was accidentally broken, but her captain manages to make it easier by becoming involved in the interplanetary conflict. I don’t want to spoil it for anybody, but Sci Spanks is only 99 cents and a great collection if you enjoy light kink, other worlds, and a variety of pairings.

I invite you to preview Sci Spanks below and to drop me a line on Twitter @LeighEllwood if you have read and enjoyed it. I don’t know if I’ll write more spanking stories after this, but the feedback is good I never say never.

Touch Me Not by Genna Donaghy

Author Genna Donaghy stopped by today to share a bit about her new M/M book, “Touch Me Not.” I just picked it up and can’t wait to read this one!

Summary:

In an alternate universe, where gender is less important than how dominant a person is, Jake Alric is the odd man out. While other subs spend their days trying to find their one true mate, Jake goes out of his way to avoid dominants. He’s seen the dark side of soul bonds, and all he wants is to be left alone to tend his small Montana cattle ranch in peace.

When an oil company starts buying up land all around town, Jake comes under increasing pressure to sell. A chance encounter brings him into contact with one of his potential mates, Henry Waterstone, son of the man trying to buy Jake’s ranch and a handsome dominant who pushes buttons Jake didn’t know he had. For the first time Jake is tempted by the true pleasure of being a submissive. But as Jake and Henry grow closer, a new player in the oil company rises up and threatens to sever their fragile connection. Suddenly the person Jake was most afraid to find becomes the one he’s most terrified to lose.

Excerpt:

Four shots of whiskey and one beer on an empty stomach meant Jake was feeling no pain.

Stella tried to get him to spend the night in the back office, crashing on the couch she kept there for friends. She even threatened to call Sam down to take his keys, but Jake promised on his mother’s grave he’d sleep in his truck and wouldn’t drive home. Finally, she relented.

The joke was on her. As far as he knew, his mother was alive. If anyone could call it that.

Still, when he missed putting his key in the door lock a total of four times in a row, he had to admit she had a point.

His balance wavered dangerously as he leaned behind his seat to fish out a thick blanket he stored there for emergencies. His truck bed was littered with hay from his last haul, and he could see his breath in the air, but he’d slept outside in worse before. He’d sleep a few hours to sober up before he drove home.

He walked around the truck to climb to the bed and paused as the bar door slammed open. It looked like Mr. Fancy Suit hadn’t suffered too badly under the twins’ attentions. Or maybe he had. Jake watched as he stumbled unsteadily around the parking lot, patting his pockets for keys. But Jake’s truck was the only vehicle left.

Mumbling to himself, Mr. Fancy Suit wobbled to the edge of the intersection of the two-lane roads and made to put his hand on the stop sign but fell short and hit the ground.

Blind drunk, Jake thought. He was tipsy himself, but at least he wasn’t stupid about it.

The man didn’t get up, and Jake frowned. “Hey!” Jake called.

No movement.

Well, damn it. The man couldn’t sleep on the side of the road. Temperatures around Tamarack fell fast, even in late summer.

Jake walked up to the downed figure and carefully toed his side. The man murmured but didn’t rise. He was lying flat out on the ground. Jake could see his tie was loosened around his collar, and one glove was missing.

Jake bent to search his pockets but didn’t come up with a cell phone or a wallet. He scowled. Sometimes the town hosted business conventions, which brought in outsiders. The MacKenzie twins were not above showing a tourist a good time, but he’d never seen them resort to robbery before.

He was going to kill the both of them next time he set eyes on them. It was one thing to do what you had to in order to survive, another to leave someone—especially an unmated dom who couldn’t quickly heal himself—out to suffer exposure.

Going back to the bar was not an option. The neon OPEN sign in the window had gone dark. It was past closing time, which was probably why Mr. Fancy Suit had been kicked out. Stella wouldn’t thank Jake for darkening her doorstep with a drunk stranger.

Jake was tired enough to lie down on the road himself, and had he been more sober, he would have been able to fight against the sub instincts to nurture. He knew he should walk away, but he couldn’t. He really hated himself sometimes.

The Timberline Motel was open across the street, though it was the type of place that rented rooms by the hour. Probably not where Mr. Fancy Suit would like to wake up. Too bad for him. With a long-suffering sigh, Jake bent to grip Mr. Fancy Suit under the arm. “C’mon, partner. Rise and shine.”

Mr. Fancy Suit stirred and struggled to his feet. Gritting his teeth, Jake slung his arm over his shoulder—Mr. Fancy Suit’s gloved side, thank you very much—and started walking him to the motel.

“Where’re going?” Fancy Suit slurred. His breath was sweet with brandy, and he leaned on Jake with every step.

“Getting you somewhere soft to sleep.” Jake was none too steady on his feet either, and they both nearly toppled over a curb.

The man hummed under his breath, his head dropping, presumably to watch his feet.

“Tell me if you’re going to upchuck,” Jake warned. “You get any on me, and I’ll leave you right here, you understand?”

“My room’s 204,” he answered thickly.

Jake rolled his eyes. They were far away from whatever nice hotel room Fancy Suit probably rented for the night. The Timberline Motel was one level and had maybe twenty rooms, tops.

It was a comedy of errors trying to maneuver them both into what passed for a lobby. Fancy Suit’s knees wobbled at the worst times, and he reached out to a nearby car door as they passed, as if to climb in. Feeling his patience run short, Jake swung the man around and picked him up under his knees and arms, bridal style. He would have gone for the fireman’s carry but was afraid Fancy Suit would just throw up all down his back.

“Hey!” Fancy Suit kicked out, and Jake nearly overbalanced.

“Shaddup,” Jake snapped, tightening his grip around the man’s solid frame. Like most doms, Fancy Suit didn’t lack muscle. He weighed a ton. Sometimes Jake was too nice for his own good.

Karen, the dom manning the desk, widened her eyes when Jake staggered into the lobby. “Hey, Jake. Caught someone at last?”

He ignored that. “He got worked over by the MacKenzies pretty good. He needs a room for the night.”

“Who is he?”

“No idea. They took his wallet.”

She pursed her lips. “We don’t let just anyone in without ID. You know that.”

“Karen, look at him.” He glanced down as he spoke. Fancy Suit’s head lolled to the side, his dark eyes half-open. “Look how he’s dressed. You know he’s good for the money.”

She gave a quirk of a smile. “You got a point. Tell you what: I have a niece in 4-H who’s looking to raise a steer next year. Teach her how to spot a healthy calf, give her a good price, and I’ll overlook the ID just this once.”

“Deal,” Jake said, and she slid a key into his gloved hand.

Luckily the room wasn’t far away. His shoulders burned from the weight of the man. He almost dropped him while opening the door and accidentally bumped the man’s head on the way in. Fancy Suit swore and woke with a start, hands and feet flailing. It was too much, and they both fell in a tangle of limbs as the door closed behind them.

“What?” Fancy Suit looked around blearily. “Where…”

“You’re drunk.” Jake had had about enough of this. He pushed him away and stood. “I got you a room for the night. Stay put and sleep it off.”

“What’s goin’ on? I don’t…”

Jake sighed and pulled him back to his feet with every intention of propelling him to the bed.

“Wait,” the man said. Before Jake could stop him, he reached out to place a hand on the back of Jake’s neck. His ungloved hand.

A tingle of warmth went through Jake, from the point of contact, through his skin, and down to pool in his heart. He looked into the man’s—Henry’s—smoky black, confused eyes, and deep affection stole over him.

Henry’s face broke into a wide, drunken smile, and Jake felt himself returning it.

“Stay,” Henry told him and pulled Jake to the bed. “Stay.” It was a direct order, and Jake couldn’t have refused it, even if he’d wanted to.

* * * *

Jake woke feeling warm and comfortable. He opened his eyes to an unfamiliar room with a stale smell and terrible 80s decor. He tried to move, wincing as his head gave a painful throb. His mouth tasted foul, like he’d been sleeping with it open.

There was a warm presence pressed up against his back. A sigh of breath drifted over his nape. The memories of last night rolled over him, and he tensed.

Oh, no. Oh, God, no, please…

A quick look down confirmed he was fully clothed, gloves and all. An unfamiliar bare hand wrapped around his torso, holding him possessively close. Other than that—

They weren’t bound together. Not yet. The initial connection between them had been made, but that wasn’t permanent. Slowly, Jake turned to see the man who could be his mate.

He was…handsome. A little shorter than Jake’s six feet, but his tailored suit clung to his broad shoulders and muscled torso. He looked to be part Asian, maybe Vietnamese with his high cheekbones, almond-shaped eyes, and the bronze sheen to his skin. His dark hair was cut short but styled, or at least had been before bed head had tweaked it in all directions. There was something strong in his face, something that spoke “dom” to Jake’s instincts. A powerful one. As Jake watched, the man—Henry, he knew his name was Henry—turned on his back, his mouth dropping open to let out a long snore.

And God help him, part of Jake wanted to lie down and tuck himself up against that muscled chest. He’d be safe with Henry, he knew. Taken care of.

Jake didn’t want to be safe or taken care of. He wanted to make his own decisions and determine his own course in life. He didn’t want to belong to anyone.

Jake clenched his gloved hand into a fist, then spread his fingers again, hovering them over Henry’s exposed neck. He’d have to move fast, because if Henry woke up, Jake knew he would be lost. Henry, like any dom who could be his mate, had utter power over him. He could override Jake’s objections, order him to take off his clothes, and then bind them together. After, Jake could never say no to any direct order ever again. He’d be nothing but a puppet to his mate’s wishes.

Just like his mother had been to his father.

Jake’s fingers rested on Henry’s neck. Through his gloves, he felt Henry’s pulse, steady and strong.

Make it quick, he told himself. Close your eyes, squeeze, and don’t stop until he’s dead.

The seconds ticked by, but Jake remained frozen. Eventually his shoulders slumped. He couldn’t do it. Not in cold blood. Not like this.

Jake pulled away from Henry, stifling a gasp. Losing contact, even through clothing, felt like he was grating his teeth on tinfoil. A worried line formed between Henry’s slack brows, and Jake knew he had only seconds before the dom became agitated enough to wake up.

Taking the first step away from Henry hurt deep inside, like something was wrenched in his soul. A loneliness he hadn’t been fully aware of suffused his heart. The sound Jake made was half a sob as he shook his head, staggering to the door like he was drunk all over again.

He thought he heard a murmur behind him as he shut the door, a slurred, “No, wait…”

Jake slammed the door before Henry’s words became an order. He turned and ran as fast as he could across the street, nearly getting killed by a passing car that blew its horn at him. His truck was parked at the bar with the keys hanging out of the lock. He jerked the door open and climbed in, gulping air.

He didn’t dare look back at the motel as he pulled out of the parking lot, driving like the hounds of hell were after him.

“Slave For Love” Cover Reveal

Holy Hot Vampire Spankin’!  The wait was torture, but so worth it.  And maybe I even like a little torture. 🙂

image (1)

This should be out very soon and includes my twisted fairy tale, “Cinderella in Hell.”

Here’s a quick teaser from “Cinderella in Hell” to get you in the mood:

Rella gazed across the expanse, shivering in delightful anticipation.  As the musicians ended their tune, the dancers cleaved like a wanton woman opening her legs to a lover.  At the center, she saw him.

Prince Dominic sat on his throne.  His black hair was pulled back at his nape, and he rested his strong chin on a fist.  Hooded eyes were glazed with obvious disinterest as they poured over the surrounding merriment.  As if pulled by an invisible force, his gaze met hers.

Rella was on fire.  Her fairy had kindled a conflagration within her.  It felt as though the pyre was visible through flesh and bone, boiling her blood, and apparent to the man who possessed the matching spark.  The prince stood, and stepped deliberately down the dais, straight toward her.

“You dare arrive at a royal ball attired thusly?”

His eyes burned into hers, indomitable and hard.  They were the color of pure emeralds, and equally unyielding.

“I mean no offense, Your Majesty.”  She curtsied, and black feathers fluttered around her.  The entire congregation seemed to be similarly ruffled.  Hushed whispers met her ears.  Snippets of speech rang clear in the low rumble.  Who is she?  What impudence!  Unmask her!

“I would know who stands before me.  You challenge the etiquette of my realm.”  The prince’s hands pulled her mask away as he spoke.

“Rella, of House Tremaine, as it pleases Your Highness.”

Please me, indeed.  My subjects never fail to please me, Rella of Tremaine.  He leaned toward her, and lowered his voice.  “Why do you think I stage this travesty of a ball?  All here are eager to please, but so few truly crave the role of submissive.”  His eyes raked her body.  “Do you think I am blind to those that warm my hand and bed out of duty?  Those affairs taste stale from the outset.”

His voice was a dark whisper for only her ears and sharp teeth flashed between his lush lips as he spoke.  A lustful tremor spiked through Rella.

“And yet, you throw my predilections in my face with your garb.  It is a transgression worthy of punishment.”

Red Phoenix Cherry Poppin’ Blog Tour

Today I welcome author Red Phoenix to my blog. Her newest release, “Brie Learns the Art of Submission” is available  now from Amazon. Her book is broken down into two sections with alluring subtitles. In Tame, we find His Touch (Brie Learns to Obey)Marquis Gray’s Flogger (Brie Learns Her Power as a Submissive), and The Art of Kinbaku (Brie Embraces Bondage).

Notice how that was called Tame? It could refer to taming the submissive, but then again, it might just be a commentary on the type of erotic action you’ll find, especially when compared to Wicked, the next section. This one includes quite the sexual assortment: Warrior Fantasy (Brie Lives Her Fantasy), Chocolate (Brie Surrenders to His Will), and Her First DP (Brie on Display). Yup. I’m guessing the latter.

Red was kind enough to do an interview (above and beyond the call of duty, actually;).

So, without further ado, let’s get sexy with Red Phoenix.

First off, thanks for stopping over, Red!  It’s great to have you here.

I’m curious—what got you interested in writing erotic romance?

I wanted to delve into self-publishing and thought short stories would be a great way to start. I had two characters in a romance novel I had written and I wanted to explore their more intimate lives. That was the basis for Loving Amy, my very first work of erotica.

What is your writing process like? Are you a planner? Pantster? What is your favorite writing tool or tip?

I let the muses carry the story. I know where we are headed, but they fill in the details as we go. It is exciting as the story unfolds and all the pieces come together. The more I write the easier it is for me to let go and allow the muses to carry me along.bring most pleasure

My advice: Write, write, write! The more you do it the better you become. However, you cannot skip the editing process. No matter the brilliance of your story, you owe your readers a clean copy. (I started out self-editing.) I now have a professional editor and am going back to earlier stories and revising them. My fans deserve only the best.

Who are your favorite erotic romance authors right now and why?

Honestly, I try to stay away from reading other erotic books as much as possible. I do not want to be influenced by another writer’s style or storyline. I believe part of my allure is my unique voice and I don’t want to lose that.

How would you describe your writing style?

Let me have a fan speak for me: “I think I love this book as much as I do because we get to go right along with Brie. We get to sit through the classes with Mr. Gallant. The students ask all the questions that we would ask if we were sitting in the desk next to them. We get to hear his answers that are so detailed that we understand exactly what he is trying to teach us that day. Then they move to Practicum and we feel the trainer’s eyes on us, we feel the embarrassment when we get reprimanded, and the pride when they compliment. Then when they move into the auditorium for the final period of the day, we get the butterflies in our bellies from nervousness, the fear when they make us face something unknown, and the excitement when our fantasies are about to be fulfilled.” – Kayla

When it comes to choosing a fictional hero, what are your three must-haves? How about heroine?Boa treat

For Him: Committed, real (not perfect), confident in himself. Her: Strong, intelligent, willing to meet life’s challenges and her own weaknesses.

If you could pick one weapon for a zombie fight, what would it be?

A sling shot.

Very interesting!

Okay, last question.  What is the most compelling reason you can give someone who has yet to read your work to pick up one of your books?

I write erotica to entice the mind and heart, as well as the loins. My intent is to draw you in so that you experience what the character is experiencing, feel their emotional ups and downs, and want to jump someone’s bones afterwards.

A noble goal! 🙂  Well, with that aim in mind, I leave you all with an excerpt from Brie Learns the Art of Submission!

From Warrior Fantasy (Brie Lives Her Fantasy):

His thrusts were strong and demanding. She had to remind herself to relax in order to take his entirety. She groaned as his speed and depth increased. He grabbed handfuls of her hair, grunting in his own pleasure while his tight pelvic muscles delivered repeated thrusts.

She could feel the burn on her back as they slowly inched across the carpet. It added to the brutish feel of their coupling. She wrapped her legs around his waist and cried out so the whole house could hear. “Rytsar, you’re too big!” she screamed loudly, adding, “But I like it, oh, yes…! You make it hurt so good.” Even though she knew he couldn’t understand, she suspected some of his friends spoke English and it pleased her to promote his manliness to the crowd in the other room.

He grasped her face in his hands and kissed her deeply while he consumed her with his body. The ridge of his shaft rubbed that area deep inside that made her legs quiver uncontrollably. She purred into his mouth as he brought her to the edge, but then he stopped. Rytsar pulled out, chuckling wickedly under his breath.

He turned Brie onto her stomach and grunted out a command she assumed meant ‘stay’. She lay on the carpet, breathless and needy. He came back to her less than a minute later and lay on top of her body with his rigid member between her butt cheeks. He lifted her pelvis up with one hand and pressed his lubricated cock against her ass.

Tuesday Teaser

That’s right—it’s that time again.  This tease is coming to you from my story “Cinderella in Hell,” which will be in the Ravenous Romance compilation “Slave to Love.”  If you said, “Slave to Love?  That sounds like a vampire BDSM anthology,” you’d be absolutely correct (and a very good guesser!).

If you’re thinking “Cinderella in Hell? That sounds like a Cinderella story,” you’d also be right.  Not so much a good guesser, though.

Anyway, here she blows, my Cinderella vampire BDSM snippet.  Oh, there’s also a Fetish Fairy.  Enjoy! 🙂

—–Excerpt from “Cinderella in Hell” by Kimber Vale—–

Rella waited in her room, door locked, until the sound of the departing carriage faded with the light of day.  She crept to Drizella’s room first.  A draught sent goose bumps prickling down her arms. They added to the delicious sense of foreboding that had accompanied her into the chamber.  She riffled through drawers until she found the objects of her desire.  The butterfly nipple clips gleamed in the moonlight.  Their miniature jaws sparkled like precious stones.  She placed the stolen jewelry on the bed and stripped.  Moisture gathered between her legs as anticipation thrummed through her body.

A cool breeze billowed the sheer curtains at the window.  They reached toward her like ghosts that craved the touch of warm skin.  Rella’s nipples were erect from excitement and from the chilly kiss.  A shiver rippled through her as she pinched each of her stiff peaks with the jaws.  She gave the chain a tug and sucked in her breath when the bite was amplified.

What’s Up?

I’ll tell you what’s up with me. I just sent back my final edits for “Star Catcher,” my sci-fi erotic romance being pubbed with Liquid Silver Books. I’m super excited! Not sure what my publication date is yet, and I have a cover mock-up I’m waiting to be finalized before I flash it around.

I’ve also been working on creating a book trailer, which has been a fun (and time-consuming) experience.  I could tell as I played background music and watched it over and over again last night that my husband wanted to say, “Just pick one, already!”  But I’m a little bit of a perfectionist, and not one to settle until I’m absolutely sure there isn’t something better around the corner.  That being said, I think I found the perfect music and I’m waiting to put my book cover in before finalizing that little project.

kiss

I’m rethinking my beginning to my rock star book, as well as the title.  I may start things off with a big bang (every pun intended) to kick things up a notch with my spice weasel and cut out some telling later in the story.  Also, that will give me the opportunity to write some eighteen-year-old twink sex, which could be fun.

Speaking of twink sex, I’m also working on a story for the Goodreads Love Has No Boundaries event.  Here is my thread so you can check out my pic/prompt. That’s right, it’s a gymnast, in his skivvies, with a pompadour. Not to be confused with Mr. Green, in the Library, with the candlestick. I think I’m about halfway done with this story, as I’m targeting around 10 K words.  Apparently, someone wrote about 80 K last year. I’m crazy, but I’m not that crazy. I also have other stuff on my plate.

My goal is to get my first rock MS out by the end of this month.  I also saw a few short story calls I was salivating over, so I’ll see if I can get some shorts cranked out/buffed and sent.

And then I can finally get back to my second rock star book, “Double Takes.”  At least I got my boys out of the shower a while back.  Oh, and fun dribs and drabs of plot have been coming to me on my witch story, so I’m getting excited about hitting that baby again.

So there you have it.  Looks like a plan.  Now to get the hubs back to work and the hobbits off to school so I can actually get something done.
