Must be Monday! Happy beginning of the work week, all! I know that Mondays are most people’s least favorite day, but not mine. Monday is the start of the school week. The hubs goes back to the office, God love ‘im. And I get my me time back. Monday is lush and full of promise. It means five days of kid-free time (16.5 hours total, but who’s counting?) are coming at me, and I just might get some freakin’ writing work done, and maybe even wash a damn dish or two. Mondays, I could kiss you on the lips. With tongue.
Now, concerning my post title… I figured I’d give a little update on accepted stories of mine. I received an e-mail today from Lisabet Sarai informing me that my story “My Soul to Take” made the cut for “Coming Together: In Vein.” It’s a vampire erotica antho that promises to breathe some new life into an old story. For my part, my sexy vamp seduces a priest. Kachow!
As an aside, click on that “kachow” for the Urban Dictionary of the word. It’s a little bit Lightning McQueen and a little bit Dirty Sanchez, if you can believe it. I learn something new every day. It makes me the well-rounded individual I am and one hell of a conversation starter.
Next, the ghosts. ‘Tis the season, after all. I sent a sub to Circlet Press’ “Like a Chill Down Your Spine” a while back. My story “Grave Secrets,” involving a lucky girl caught in a spectral sandwich, got in. I believe the pub is planning a release in time for Halloween, but don’t quote me on that. Artemis Savory is editing the collection.
And finally, the geeks. 🙂 Ravenous Romance is putting out a Geek Love anthology. They called for pocket protectors and pocket rockets. I gave them the nerdiest thing I could possibly imagine. That’s right, I wrote an accountant story. “Analyzing Assests” is about the cleaning lady who seduces the geeky big-wig at an accounting firm on her last night on the job. She’s moving on to bigger and better things, but figures she might as well go out with a bang as she’s always fantasized about banging the boss.
So, that’s what’s up with me. Don’t say I never keep you posted.
